I recently rented a karaoke machine with 2 mics. It came with a tablet for choosing songs, and a monitor on a stand for the singer to view the lyrics. Artur set everything up and explained how to use it. The app was great: easy to use (all you need to do is use the tablet or scan a QR code with your phone), had tons of songs from different genres, and the had ability to change some of the settings like the key of the song. Hector and Artur were great to deal with and I would definitely rent again for a future event. Keep in mind that you need to specify pickup time in advance. If your party is late on a Friday night, for example, and you don't have access to your venue on Saturday, you could be charged for another day. Tip: I recommend hooking it up to a projector or large monitor so your guests can join in singing the lyrics. (See review here)

I reserved a system for home use for a party. It is easy to use, and boasts excellent sound quality from the speakers and microphones. It comes with a large catalogue of English, French, and Spanish songs which were easy to search by artist or song title. Moreover, I was able to connect the system to my phone to play other music. Communication with the staff was swift and prompt by email and by phone, and the online booking was definitely an advantage. It was great having multiple tablets to pass around to my guests for them to add songs into our playlist. Finally, I have neighbours on either wall of my house, so I liked that the sound control system has independent knobs to adjust the volume of the speakers, and the volume of each microphone (we lowered the volume at night, but still had an amazing time). Everything was good. If I could make one suggestion, it would be that the software to control music does not let you rewind the song to the beginning. They are transitioning to a new system, so they are quite up to date, but when the transition is complete, I'm positive that these guys will be a 5-star company. Still, it was quite good. What an excellent experience. We purchased the package that included the 80 inch projector screen. I plugged my laptop into it and had a slide show running while guests used the smaller monitor to sing jaraoke. Overall the rental company stayed in constant communication with me. The whole experience was unbelievably easy: the set up and retrieval is all managed by the company. They give you two tablets for people to search, select and queue up songs. KRV was affordable and had the perfect setup for what we needed at home. The whole process was so easy and seamless.
